ART...

The biggest little word on Earth.

"The arts celebrate all aspects of our lives. They serve to enlighten us and broaden our horizons. The arts inform our perspective, cultivate cultural and personal expression, and expand our capacity for empathy and compassion. In short, they teach us about life.”

~ Stephen Snow

ARTS ADMINISTRATION
VENUE & Events MANAGEMENT

If you’ve ever been backstage and seen the looks of anticipation on the faces of the people in the audience just before the curtain opens and stage lights come up, you know the joy of working in the arts. I am a producing arts manager, and venue manager known for diverse, relevant programming and a deep love of the arts in all disciplines.

I am also a communications professional with 20 years of experience and expertise across a spectrum of technologies and platforms. A former Apple Trainer, my expertise includes a wide variety of software programs, and CRM systems. If you need a skilled media artist and storyteller, look no further.

WordPress Site Design
& Management

I primarily work in WordPress, but work in Joomla! and other applications when requested. In designing, I listen to your vision and work from there — no guesses, no surprises. Whether a one-page brochure site, or full-blown eCommerce site, I can help you realize your vision.

End-To-End VIDEO PRODUCTION

With 16 years of video/film experience I have served many areas of production, from cinematographer, to DIT, to editor. A true storyteller, I am experienced in Final Cut X, Adobe Premiere, DaVinci, Final Cut Studio 7. My short film FALL TO THE SON won awards.

I teach humans of all ages. A former Apple software Trainer, I have been tutoring since 2006. I also troubleshoot software, hardware and network issues.

Writing & Editing

Many people don’t like to write. Some hate it. I earned my BA from the Writing Program at Columbia University, so I love to write! I also love to help, so give me a shout if you need a hand or want to co-write the next great film!

Words From Friends

To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing to express my great appreciation for and confidence in Stephen Snow. As part of Stephen’s duties at UCCS, he served as the events coordinator for the Heller Center for the Arts and Humanities of which I am the director. In these duties Stephen constantly went above and beyond. He proved himself dedicated, innovative, and a pleasure with which to work.

Stephen arrived at UCCS with a full plate of duties, managing events not only for the Heller Center (which is in constant use) but for the entire Ent Center for the Arts, which has spaces and events too numerous to mention. Stephen didn’t just take up the challenge of keeping these many balls in the air, but he took up the charge of reorganizing the system by which we reserve spaces. With Stephen’s help, the Heller Center now has an entirely new reservation system far superior to our past practices. He brought this innovative approach to all his work.

Stephen was dedicated to knowing every aspect of his position. Unlike past people in his position, he spent time at the Heller Center, becoming a necessary member of our team and discussing the potentials of the space and ways to improve its use.

Along with this dedication to a “boots on the ground” philosophy, Stephen’s strength is in organization and communication. Stephen covered every base. He served as a capable liaison between us and the larger events administration, often advocating for our center. Stephen was always open to new ideas. And always ready to roll with the punches.

There is little chance that we will be able to replace Stephen in this position. Yet, because of his hard work, integrity and persistence while at UCCS, his successor will inherit a well-oiled machine. Any team should be thrilled to have Stephen as a member, and I cannot imagine a scenario in which he would not make invaluable contributions.

Sincerely,

Max Shulman, PhD
Director of the Heller Center Associate Professor, UCCS

To whom it may concern,

I’m a screenwriter and producer (major credits  include PHILADELPHIA and THE PAINTED VEIL). I worked with Stephen Snow on a documentary feature (She’s the Best Thing in It) that I’m producing and directing. Stephen helped create a teaser/trailer for fundraising, organized digital files for the feature, digitized and transcribed footage, and edited portions of the doc.

It was a true pleasure to work with Stephen. He’s highly skilled, articulate, passionate, and understands that editing is, essentially, story telling. He has a dramatist’s instinct and a sense of rhythm and momentum. I learned a lot from him and we had a lot of fun.

I recommend him without any hesitation.

Sincerely,

Ron Nyswaner, Academy Award nominated Screenwriter

To Whom It May Concern,

My name is Jerry Roche, CEO of Dot Time Legends, Producing Jazz music from the greats such as Louis Armstrong, Gerry Mulligan & Ella Fitzgerald.

I worked with Stephen Snow when he was the Artistic Director of The Palace Theater in Danbury, CT. Stephen was able to breathe life into a long neglected venue. We put together several musical concerts with mainly regional acts to a very enthusiastic Danbury community. Stephen’s ability to identify the root cause of an issue/problem and resolve it quickly made it such a joy to work with Mr. Snow.

Stephen’s ability to work with everyone from the volunteer ticket collector to the headliner and treat them all with the same respect is very rare indeed.

I believe that anyone who hires or works with Stephen Snow is enriched professionally. I would not hesitate to work with Stephen again. Please feel free to contact me via phone or email anytime.

Sincerely,

Jerry Roche, CEO Dot Time Records
